Lab-Grown Alexandrite Gemstone | Oval Faceted | 5 x 3mm | 78271

Created to exacting standards, using state-of-the-art gem-lab technology from high quality material grown in the United States, this lab-grown alexandrite has a chemical make-up identical to the finest natural alexandrite. The gemstone provides more consistent color tones while refracting clean bright hues, especially under florescent light. It performs at the bench just as a natural gemstone does but, unlike natural alexandrite, this lab-grown gemstone is heat-resistant and can be successfully cast or fired in place. Alexandrite is the birthstone for June. The oval cut is an even, symmetrical shape but elongated. The arrangement of its facets is similar to that of a round brilliant, designed to maximize light and color.AttributesGemstone Type:AlexandriteStone Shape:OvalStone Size:5 x 3mmStone Type:Lab grownColor:Bluish-PurpleBirthstone:Juneenhancement:Synthetic (SYN)Mohs Hardness:8.5Refractive Index:1.7461.755Specific Gravity:3.73.78Cutting Center:ChinaFeatures & Maintenance Lab-grown in America, this gemstone material is sent to China for cutting.
